Unrepeatable ale with lemon notes
This beer was brewed in collaboration with our friends at Sip Cafe in Yarmouth. This porter has all the dark toasty notes of our 1840 Porter with the addition of lactose, chocolate and espresso beans. You can expect a complex mix of malts, coffee and chocolate in both the flavour and aroma while the lactose offers additional mouthfeel to the beer. This seasonal beer won’t last long.
This IIPA is brewed with a blend of three high alpha hops for plenty of dank, pine and citrus flavours. Early hop additions give plenty of bitterness to this beer while generous late and dry hop additions impart plenty of aroma and flavour. This grain mix keeps this beer light and hazy and very drinkable. The Golden Horse Fountain is located at the intersection of four streets in the community of Milton in the north end of the town. The fountain was a gift to the town from Clara Killam, in 1893. Municipal heritage designation applies to the Golden Horse Fountain and its footprint.
This NEIPA with a twist highlights our historic ties to Viking explorers like the Yarmouth Runic Stone. This beer is brewed with heavy flameout hops, fermented warmer than usual with a Norwegian yeast strain and heavily dry hopped to ensure ample fruity flavours and aromas this beer will not disappoint. This Canadian style wheat beer was conditioned with generous additions of locally grown strawberries and rhubarb. Distinct wheat beer flavours combine with the slight sweetness from the berries and slight tartness from the rhubarb for a refreshing treat. This beer is very cloudy and since we don’t filter and use real locally grown fruit you may even find a strand of rhubarb or a strawberry seed in your glass! That is how fresh this beer is.
Brewed in the trendy New England style, this beer is hazy, hoppy and aromatic. Light bittering hop additions and heavy flameout and dry hop additions give plenty of fruity and citrus aromas. The ferry link between Yarmouth N.S. and New England has been vital to many for years, the Scotia Prince ferry was the workhorse of the Gulf of Maine from 1982 - 2004
Brewed in collaboration with Jason MacDonald and Heritage Brewing Co. for the 2018 Stillwell Open. Hopped with significant amounts of Chinook, Simcoe and Tahoma giving this beer a delightful piney punch and a smooth tropical finish. Just to make things interesting we added a generous amount of Seed’s of Paradise and Lemon Grass near the end of the boil which adds a interesting sharp spiciness and smooth lemony finish.
Freezing Spray IPA. This hop forward beer has plenty of bitterness, flavour and fresh hop aroma. This beer is 6.5% ABV and made with enough malt to support the ample additions of Chinook, Ekuanot and Citra hop. The result is a beer that has plenty of citrus and fruit aroma with some pine and spice over the palate.
Named after Yarmouth’s location on both Highway 101 and 103, this beer is refreshing and easy to drink. Neither the malt or hops stand out, this beer is balanced, clean and refreshing on a hot summer afternoon or a great choice for a session lasting late into the evening. If you enjoy well crafted local beer but heavily hopped or big flavour beers aren’t for you, give this a try.
This beer has ample additions of roasted barley and chocolate malt which contribute to a slightly sweet character and roasty aroma. This beer has a small addition of lactose for added sweetness and mouthfeel but drinkers will not find this to be a heavy stout, drinkibility is high with this beer which sets it apart from thicker and more filling stouts.
